My Lathe

From start to finish, my cone head Hendey.

Not bad for $200, eh?

The casters on the front end came off the dolly when we levered it up over the threshold in the basement and we c-clamped them back on. Wow, glad it didn't fall over.

You just can't get a good dolly anymore!

Everything's off except for the cone in the headstock. Saddle, apron, all the gears and shafting… I used a needle scaler to chip all the old paint off. Kerosene to degrease and a lot of scotch brite…

All done and leveled up, ready to roll, it'll be good for another hundred years. Phase converter is on the floor to the left. Sadly it doesn't look like this anymore. It's covered with new oil, dirt, and metal chips and has been working great.
