These pictures didn't turn out so well, I think my batteries are getting flaky. The one below shows 2 steering arms I made by welding a long tab onto some shaft collars. I plan to keep them adjustable until it's dialed in then weld just one side of the collar to the kingpin, that way if I ever have to take it off I can just take the collar apart and twist the welded side off. A nice heavy tack will keep it from slipping.

I always thought chains had a master link but many of my el-cheapo donor bikes don't. The YKK chain breaker I got below works great! Just need to make a trip to get some master links to join them all back up.

The harbor freight clamps work great as spreaders too. It helps getting the porta band out of a frame.

I lined up the front part and rear part by just setting everything on patio blocks. 3 under the rear rim and 2 under the front frame member. It'll end up as flat as the floor!

The gusset I put in is a little bit of overkill, but if your gonna go large don't skimp on the gussets.

I gotta get a better camera, below you can just barely see the steering arm on top of the one kingpin. I'll make an adjustable link with rod ends tomorrow. The diagonal braces for the front axle are just tubes I got off a bike, smash the ends but not all the way, if you mash them totally flat they want to crack. Just make them oval and fill it in with weld.
Looking at the frame I think I made it way too long but we'll have to wait until the top is on to really know. I can always shorten it up a bit later…

Above, chain breaker and 2 masters I got at Wal-Mart, the day after reading about how they no longer carry them…

Doh! The chain doesn't fit between the gears and frame. It's not supposed to be back there and the clearance is just too tight.
You can see I sawed the pedal arms off; I'm going to use this crank as a jack shaft to help gear down the rear wheel cause I'm only going to be peddling this with my arms.

Above, I swapped out the 2-gear ring for a 3-gear job, it jacked the outer two gears out about 1/2" and now there's plenty of leeway.
