Doin' stuff:

Ok so what's the big deal with all the carts? Well, were it not for them my ass would get so sore it would literally fall off!!! No kidding, it's almost happened before which is why I started building these helpful devices that permit me to do the many things I wouldn't, or couldn't do sitting up in the wheelchair.

Try picking up a and carrying a piece of solid 3" round bar stock sitting in a wheelchair! Heavy.

The following series of shots are really stupid. I know, its not every day you need to pick up and carry an I beam, but if you really, really had to…

Note: I did this years before I got arthritis in my shoulders and wouldn't even think of it now, but still, if your life depended on lifting something heavy this is the way to do it. There's no strain on your back because your chest is transferring the weight directly to the cart top.

Carry one bucket full of stuff sitting in a wheelchair, let alone 2!

This way I don't get metal chips in my $600 Roho wheelchair cushion.

I don't get my wheelchair cushion full of wood splinters either!

No burnt holes in it as well.

It's easier on the back when shoveling snow…

Just try building a stone wall while sitting, Not. There's just no way to do some of these things sitting, and although laying on ones stomach isn't something I look forward to each day, it sure beats being bed ridden. I couldn't do much of these things now because of arthritis in my shoulders, but the carts are still keeping my ass from falling off.
