Lift

I need a lift that will pick up my cart and lift me up to transfer into the boat. This is something we made with old pallet wood (yes, it was a big pallet!), some old scrap 2x4's, old caster wheels and some pipe that was lying about. In the first pic below you can see we had to nail 2x2's to the uprights to guide the wheels. I took the bearings out of the wheels, they were for a 5/8" axle but with the bearings gone they fit nicely over 3/4" pipe.

We also got the rudder out, there was just enough room underneath that we didn't have to excavate a hole to remove it. It'll need opened up and inspected. It's cracked all over from freezing, and must have, or had, water in it.

Here you can kinda see the pipes sticking out about a foot off the ground. These will act as a "fork-lift" and scoop me up!

This is only partial progress. I have to put longer bolts in the cable winch, raise the snatch block up top, and we need to take off the swim platform but so far it seems promising! We'll see how far we get 'till next week.
